The Heels?
A simple elevation
not in status
but in stature and in spirit
They restore a long dormant
sway and movement to these idle hips
and rewind my mind
to once again remember
what it felt like to be a woman
Unless of course
you have a better way of reminding me[/i]

An eloquent tribute to one of my most favourite things in the world. A salute to womanhood. beautiful.

Thank you Missy. I like writing from a uniquely female perpective, and celebrating the differences between the sexes. It's nice to meet you.

Thank you! Much of what I write is rather tongue in cheek. Glad you enjoyed it. Have you not posted any poetry yet?

Again you have me thinking music. I am not a big country fan but Shania Twain's, "I feel like a woman", came into my head. Also U2's "Elevation".
Now someone has perfected the art of teasing me thinks?

LOL! And here I thought I would get started by posting some of my rather benign pieces to test the waters. I'm going to have to wade slowly it seems. Thanks for reading.

All speeds are accepted here, at least as far as I can see. Besides it is impossible for an American to be hold a grudge against Canada---though I don't care for his voice, you gave the world Neil Young! (Rush as well)

Yes, but we also gave you Celine Dion and Justin Beiber, and for that I am truly sorry.

The US has female vocalists who over sing as well so no biggie regarding Celine. As for Beiber at least he isn't taking the "color" out of songs like Pat Boone did when covering Little Richard or Chuck Berry, making millions of dollars for a record company who then fleeced the original artists.

Okay, you have a good point with Pat Boone.
Just for the record though, I will not tolerate any slagging of Michael Buble. Any other canadian artist is fair game, but you mess with my Buble, you and I are gonna have a serious problem.;-)

I don't have to listen to him, just looking at him is enough to do it for me. Don't tell his wife, but I'm planning on having his love child. ;)

Ah, I wish i wasn't 5'7" so I felt comfortable in heels! A simple, clever write.

Thanks for the read. nice to meet you. I'm 5'6, so I can understand your thoughts, but I'm a bit of a shoe freak (okay, more than a bit)
