Places in the Darkness

- Places in the Darkness -

How can anyone speak, of madness, with any surety?
To me, I espy much that is more sensible, in things…
Such as might seem perchance to be as mad, to many!
For I have been to many places where chaos sings…
And renders those of saner, sounder mind insensible.
Unbound by the constraints of self-imposed rationale,
The enlightened mind can entertain things whimsical…
But logical even in their lunacy, which the gods regale!
There are places in the darkness where waters lap,
Seas of lightless void, where no stars are shimmering!
Where secret things soar, in celestial glories wrapped,
Even as the sun blazes, in its’ eternal heat simmering…
Amidst hidden truths that the eye, cannot ever pierce.
For all who behold such, are changed unto ascension!
I have seen such secrets, with my gaze hot and fierce,
Beyond the heavens: and beyond the heart of perdition.

How can the mind of man ever chart the unknowable?
Cosmic wonders and occult realities meant for a spirit,
One prepared, and made ready by rites more noble…
So that one might rise higher than where angels do flit!
Undivided by the separations of matter and of energy,
The ascended soul is like the phoenix in its’ second life.
No ashes can hold it, for it has become true divinity…
Beyond the heavens: and beyond all darkness and light.
Time and space are meaningless when one sees more!
Like light from a distant world, sent hither unto Earth…
Where waits the eye that longs for all that lies in store,
But one prepared by powers beyond all mortal worth.
My words are like light, traveling unto yearning minds,
Who receive my truths and make of them a scripture…
Which frees the soul and gladdens whatsoever it finds.
Dear reader, shall it be you, who is brought to rapture?

Ask me for pleasure, and I assent like a willing harlot…
After showing you the refinement of pains more darling,
Than a rose, handed to some unworthy villain or varlet.
Alight upon me, I the flowering branch to your starling!
My blossom will receive you with a honeyed perfume…
For such delights are mine to bestow upon my chosen.
I will give you new life, even beyond the meager tomb,
Which life can be, when we do create our own prison!
A mind free of judgment, can accept full illumination…
For it is unfettered by preconceptions of reality’s facets.
Join me, in the liberty of the self, and so in celebration!
Mine is the fire that is endlessly heated and never quits.
I come to liberate, from the brutish yoke of the chains,
Of self-tyranny that grip all who would not be servants!
There are places in the darkness free of worldly pains,
And my children are all who share my lofty sentiments.
