i will speak
and speak out
speak out loud  
if need be
trying to reach you
attempting to
get through to you
 
don't let the liars
cheaters and despisers
bring you down
to their level
tell you how to feel
they are the losers
the total opposite
of you
 
your love  
and compassion
makes you rise high
above the rest
afterall, we  
are survivors  
you and i knowing
full well
our faith will  
see us through
