A Mid-Autumn's Romance

Another fall night on the couch nestled
Mindless pay per view tries to seduce
But I’ m already spellbound by my angel
cradled safe with my overarching enfold

With a soft turn of your head they flow
Burnt orange tresses with silvery threads
capture the capering firelight and ignite
Fiery ginger waterfalls cascading endless

Enchanted digits wander then part
as they slowly tease the red silky sheen
You tilt back with eyes closed exhalation
unveiling the silhouette of my desire

For a moment lust threatens to eclipse
but he is unhorsed by a softer deeper Eros
So leaning closer I breathe in springtime
awash in a canopy of wild honeysuckle

Now I collage a flood of liquorish reveries
Eve before the apple beachcombing wonder
Your little black dress Salsa forever disarming
Hands clasped hiking Sun Gate in cool Incan mist

After basking in tender keepsake afterglow
I reawaken to late November love rekindling
As grateful waters trickle gentle and hushed
I smile imagining winter’s first snow
