On Plagiarism

Dedication is very nearly
neat. I always admired
it until I saw it as plagiarism,
as I saw yesterday in something
I had almost written, from memory
at that.

There was no harm done, as in
war. Anyone can feel they un-
consciously worked over ideas
by other poets, magicking what
was original, authentic.
