Clear skies
"The most important things are the hardest to say, because words diminish them." - Stephen King
If I were a poet of any worth
I’d be able to weave a tapestry
of images that made
future poets
stab themselves
in the forehead with a
plastic
KFC spork,
because that would be the
only way to
wrench your
beauty
from their minds.
For you are all of the phrases
broken at once,
and you are the
void as words
try to reconcile
their meanings.
I am mute,
love, for you
are the storm
within my calm
battering me
from within as
clear skies
smile.
