The Loss Of Leaves
I'm going to
branch out
its time
uproot
I can not
weep like
a willow
I must be
strong
like teak,
swaying
in the wind
is supposed
to feel good
its not to
feel forced
leaving
can be a
challenge
one to be
accepted,
I am
deciduous
dropping
off the parts
that are no
longer needed.

Beautifully expressed Nikki. If only it were so easy to start over. Love the contrast between willow and teak! If only I'd known what deciduous meant when I planted all those trees out back...*sigh*.

Good rhythm, stripping bare and increasing pace and tension from beginning to end! This one flares out fast like a black-cat firecracker, just pop pop pop to the end!
