Best Friend
This dread causes me
To lay here awake
Struck motionless
From a severe stomachache
My dear best friend,
I guess this is it?
I will miss your sick jokes
And your razor sharp wit
I'll miss your laugh
How it made my heart swell
Your adorable smile
And our love in which I fell
Especially those eyes
The most marvelous shade of blue
They've seen me break down
But held me together, like glue
Every night we spent
Wrapped in each other's arms
I'll remember them fondly
It will do me no harm
I'll ask of you one thing:
Think of me, when you're miles away
Cause you'll be in my every thought
As I trudge through days stained grey
You gave me a shelter
From the madhouse within
Kept me smiling, gave me joy
Even now,I hear you ask,
"Do you remember when..."
To lay here awake
Struck motionless
From a severe stomachache
My dear best friend,
I guess this is it?
I will miss your sick jokes
And your razor sharp wit
I'll miss your laugh
How it made my heart swell
Your adorable smile
And our love in which I fell
Especially those eyes
The most marvelous shade of blue
They've seen me break down
But held me together, like glue
Every night we spent
Wrapped in each other's arms
I'll remember them fondly
It will do me no harm
I'll ask of you one thing:
Think of me, when you're miles away
Cause you'll be in my every thought
As I trudge through days stained grey
You gave me a shelter
From the madhouse within
Kept me smiling, gave me joy
Even now,I hear you ask,
"Do you remember when..."
