A Mistake
Help me, someone please help me
Before I cut in too deep
I’m bleeding, can’t stop the bleeding
As I watch it drip from my arm
Smiling, the pain makes me smile
Holding the blade up to my face
Darkness, the light has faded from my sight
Closing my eyes for the final breath
Sorrow, the sound of weeping sorrow
From the eyes of a mother on her baby’s grave
Salvation, something I wanted and never found
I guess this wasn’t the way to do it
Dirt, my hole covered with wet dirt
My new permanent living space
Regret, a constant feeling of regret
My soul can never rest from this mistake
Before I cut in too deep
I’m bleeding, can’t stop the bleeding
As I watch it drip from my arm
Smiling, the pain makes me smile
Holding the blade up to my face
Darkness, the light has faded from my sight
Closing my eyes for the final breath
Sorrow, the sound of weeping sorrow
From the eyes of a mother on her baby’s grave
Salvation, something I wanted and never found
I guess this wasn’t the way to do it
Dirt, my hole covered with wet dirt
My new permanent living space
Regret, a constant feeling of regret
My soul can never rest from this mistake
