To Mum and Dad

I know I spilt my coffee every time I climbed the stairs,
I know there was no sorry when I finished in the bathroom and I'd flooded everywhere,
I know there was no thank you for the lifts to save a taxi fare,
There was no conversation, one word answers like I didn't care.
I also know that patience is a virtue, it's the one thing I don't have.
Most times conversation would turn into shouting match.
I also know I've hurt you and much lies we're told in past,
I can't say I feel happy when now a good few years on I look back.
There are many things to tell you,
Much ill never say,
But one thing ain't a secret that belongs here for a say.
Loud with all my might, I love you from the deepest part within my heart up to the sky,
I love you wide and far,
All below and over ground,
Rite up to the stars and beyond all light and sound.
So wide, so far, so in light and through the dark,
So distant, so near,
So everywhere else and so rite by here,
Rite now and forever,
Was then, always was.
I may never have said but I never forgot
And it never got less
And it never turned off.
Though sometimes I'd try, I admit that I failed,
Yet this love can not die but grow strong winds for sails.
I know I've said things that I shouldn't have said, thought silly thoughts in a young mixed up head,
But there's only you who unconditionally loved me
And still that pure love is the one that most taught me.
My love for you has no scale to be measured,
All below and beyond tall
Down to hell and way past heaven.
