Plenty

Summer's black fruit
rapes my tongue with sweetness
I taste the sky melting
and ghosts of childhood live
Meadows bloom behind my eyes
I lie on a bed of cricket song
where kingdoms kneel
before a throne of cornflower blue
Sun drenched rabbits drool
and the fox
too lazy to kill for pleasure
grows fatter by the day
