Bubble Gum

I never wanted none
Until I got some
the color resemble bubble gum
but the taste didn't remind me of none
At least not this taste

I remember wondering why the taste reminded me of wrigley's
But stayed longer then extra
But it never got dry like  hubba bubba
I remember finding that piece I wanted the most
I counted all of the innocence in my pocket I would spare no expense

It's funny how something as simple as a piece of gum could make you lose your mind and sense
How that gum worked me for hours
I would spit, lick, and chew until my taste buds went sour
But the sweetness was still there
I remember the first time i feel asleep chewing it
And how it ended up in my hair

But, I didn't care .... Cause...   I LOVED THAT GUM
So  I would chew it until my jaws  go numb
Chewing pulling and teasing it... is just half  the fun
And do you know what?
As wet as my gum was it gave off heat like the sun
There's not a day I would pass up some
Matter fact I think ill call my girl
So I can chew on her bubble gum
