Slaughtered

her tear filled
brown eyes  
stare emotionlessly
at pain
endless
inside
throbbing irregular rhythms
through the body
broken like  
shattered glass

she sips
breath
in a double clutch
through her
fragmented
adoration
welcoming her
tender passion
over
and over
again

her lifeless soul
leaks through
glazed, swollen eyes
as she descends to
concrete
below
Filling her splintered
heart
with an eternal pain
wrapped in sorrow

as he walks
he glances back
stares through
her invisible
body
and whistles
goodbye
in the wind
