message in a bottle

in the jarring interjecting the floating
in the constant ebb and flow-high and low
in your cynicism of my lucid dreaming where
we dwell in dreamspace with a familiar face
in the large drops of tear that don't fall and
the suppressed grins which bloom-overlapping
in your mistrust-in your inherent doubt-coherent incoherence
in those nervous half smiles every time i open myself up showing
the pulpy core a little bit more without any sensory control-dreamlike
in your sharp question marks on occasions where you fail to penetrate the mass
of the solidified fragile cloak of misdirection-on instances when i reveal my vulnerabilities
choking-childlike-naked without the muck-reminiscent of Neo sliding under-getting reborn
in your anger-soaked words-in the pained silence that follow your unceremonious goodbyes
in the thriving and relentless fissures on dry land behind howling apparitions of the past undead
in the ominous ink blue clouds mushrooming overhead-auguring the impending catastrophe
in those moments when your silhouette disappears sending shards of excruciating pain
i hear a music-rapid drum beats-dum dums-of an organ which plays us all always
in our collective acts-every single time and upon patient hearing it tells me
in its intricate patterns-this is it-has been forever-always will be-
everything worth fighting for writing for crying for and dying for
i wipe my spectacles-better my stance and dive headlong not
thinking of the abyss beneath the surface-not even once
the ocean welcomes me with luminescent anemones and
guides me in its liquid tranquil till i lose myself
the walls close in soft until i can't see myself
in the bursting warmth of a hypersun i have
become post coming in contact with the
sea of life in the blinding glory-at the
last moment before my walls collapse
the ocean gushes within me leaving
an oyster floating in the gleaming
coagulated space that used to be
us once upon a time-until love..
