It was not so long ago,
Winter was here,
You came along.
You wiped away all fear
"I Want YOU"
Were the words you said to me ,
you took my hand you opened my eyes,
You made me begin to see;

Togetherness and security
were the things I thought were there,
You had wisdom I had youth,
you taught me how to care...

It was not so long ago when you went away,
Though I knew we had to part,
Still I wanted you to stay;


It was not so long ago when you came to me,
 I knew that it was over.
Still I did not  want to see:

You said that you were changing,
you had to thnk things through,
still it was over ,
There was nothing left to do...

My dreams clouded over
I wanted to cry,
You just kept walking,
without saying goodbye

It was not so long ago,
Summer was here,
I was so lonely,
when you were no longer here;

Fall is the season now,
The leaves are blowing so far away,
Like the tears that I am crying,
As I think of you today...

Now the days keep passing
the hope of you
I can't let go...
For I will always remember
 Us....
For it was not so long ago.....
