Tis the Season

I
Am a member
of the first church of the universe
In the art of blessings...I've been
well versed... and I've been taught
how to banish...just about any curse

Because I thirst...
after Knowledge...for it is power
as I study the cosmos late..
in the wee hours...
Watching the shadow people..
move in...and out of the night

Watching shapeshifters shrink
when there essence hits the light

I know...the names of the elementals
that cross over to this plane
AS I soothe the tortured souls
that drive unaware folk...insane
I cleanse
with sage..and juniper
rosmary...thyme...
I light my white candles..
and pray....all the time

I speak to my dreams...
and demand that the unseen
be made clear....

I walk into the abyss
with strength....and no fear.

Then I find my hidden tongues
when things need to be said...
without others knowing...
or getting mislead

A free spirit I have been called
a Gichi Woman...who has the eye..
Born with a veil over my face
so into the spirit realm
I freely pry....

I seclude myself at times...
that I might meditate
as ancients whisper knowledge to me
as they yet stand at the spirit realm gates
My eyes have been opened
never again to close
For I know many are called
yet only a few are chose

I have been chosen...
to bare this spiritual weight
A gate keeper of sorts...
I regulate my spiritual plate

I converse ...with Mother earth
and pay her homage...near my lake
I have confrence with the netherworld
and clean up lines of fate...
So with these words...
let hearts and minds be clear
