welcome to the murder machine
put a rusty coin in
turn the key
how could we have known
bleeding hearts assimilate
sitting in a minefield
drinking whiskey
high tops reaching higher
than our hopes ever could
the sun sets like it's running
from some invisible enemy
the sniper called "love"
come to gun us down

thank you~sometimes the mood will strike me & it feels as if all the emotions i've been trying to convey just flow into words so effortlessly...sometimes i'm able to very accurately describe a thought and when that happens i get so excited! lol

I like to think when a good poem comes along its always from your mood or feelings. Art, poems, music, almost anything, always takes a part of us with it.
