Gotta Keep Moving

I ...
feel like one of those
connect the dot puzzles..
only mine was designed by
the mad hatter...
as my thoughts seem to compress...
then scatter...
over my gray...matter.

My soul..
feeling weathered and tattered
as my troubles ...grow fatter
and I get more anxious
over imagined impending disaster
Feels like I've been attacked by an insane
spell caster

The more I try to slow my thoughts
They seem to come
faster and faster

As I try to breathe Zen...
with my mantra " I am the Master"

Cause lately..I've been
takin my reality
straight... no chaser
as I try not to let
the plights of my life
become dream erasers

Im battling for my right
to survive ...with a smile
cause slittin my wrist
has never been my style

and the furthest I'm jumpin
is off the edge of my couch see
cause I'm not lettin nothing
get the best of me...

No matter how much it hurts...
No matter how much it burns...

I realize some lesson are gonna hurt
until you finally learn..
I've learned that I am a soldier
a warrior of this quest called life

So I keep moving..
till I see my soul improving...

I keep moving toward the light.
