Your smile is a lie
Your laugh is a lie.
Your mouth is a lie.

But your eyes, yeah your eyes,
they never tell a lie.

Look away, look at me deep,
look at another, or look
at me with disdain..

Windows to the soul
to climb through...

But I'll never get a chance to.

Because the rules have been written
on a chalkboard that keeps getting erased
with new rules to replace the old
just written a second ago.

But your eyes give me fair warning
so I can avoid most of the pain;
for your eyes telegraph alot.

The signal is clear to the ears
of my inner mind...every tap...tap.

Your eyes show me the way out of this
maze called "truth".
