Make Me Forget
The pain is too much
My dear friend,
Darkness,
suppressor of all
answer my call
I beg of you
my dear friend
Stop these thoughts
halt this pain
take it away
make me forget
force me to move on
I don't want to see those eyes
everytime I close mine
I wish to dream of anything else
sweep me away
into another nightmare
somewhere where
the trees are tall
the branches dead
twisted and bent
where all of
those monsters
ever so hated
have long awaited
to tear me apart
under the gaze
of a blood red moon
where all is crimson
and evil has risen
I will find solace
with the dead
as I lay broken
floating in the red
steady tears
of mourners
who in the past
have never really cared
now a last
realizing
what it is
I mean to them
look upon my body
as my soul is trapped
within the world
of the damned
and so my soul will float
in the red
torn and broken
like the branches
twisted and bent
thank you, my friend
for helping me forget
for forcing me to move on
