Image for the poem He

He's watching

This world is evil, sinister, and dark
When break of day arrives nothing else sings but the lark
The larks, like we, have hope and compassion
But isn't it because of hope, we also gain depression?
And compassion? Have you seen any of that here?
I can't because my eyes are now blinded by just hate and fear

Unfortunately many years ago,I once was able to see
To see not love nor compassion, just mere misery
And that I have regretted, and for forgiveness I have clawed at my eyes
Then one day I have decided that this world, she dies!
I then gouged out my eyes, and blood ran streaming
I sat in the darkness and like a child, I was weeping

Weeping for what? I asked myself, who was quite groggy
You crying for your mother, father, siblings, or even a doggy?
Won't you stop that already? It's quite irritating
Crying over something that the importance of is equivalent to nothing
The world that you thought you knew has shown her fangs
She shows you that she really on a thread does hang

You cannot see but you can still hear the voices
They tell you "You should end it now, and by the way your neck itches"
You start clawing at your neck and then you realize
Again you could see again, with those gouged real eyes
You look at your neck and you see that it's so bloody
Then you see something that scares the shit out of thee

Maggot here!
Maggots there!
Maggots everywhere!

But it itches more, and you keep scratching and scratching
Finally you look behind you and you see someone's watching

                                 and grinning.....
