Lies

Lies...
You can sense them you know.

As soon as I hear one
my solar plexus begins to vibrate  

Like now...
I hear him talking...
but it's more like a distant droning
in the background...
He's spouting something about
how long he's been missing me...
blah blah blah...needs me
blah blah blah...

Then....
my stomach lurches
I have obviously ingested
far too much of this bullshit
As my memory begins
truly serving me...
All I can think about
as he continues to spew
his would be truths...
Is all the times I waited for him
and all the times he lied.
All the times he cheated...
And all the times he lied.
All the times I believed him
and all the times he lied...
All the times I cried ...
And all.....the times he lied.
and before I know it...
I'm screaming..."SHUT THE FUCK UP!!!!"
With this...he kind of sputters and
moans ...because he doesn't
know what's coming next...
But I ...just walk away.
See...
that's what I mean about lies
when that's all you tell
that's all people will see..
when they see you.

He tried to follow me...
and  explain...but I warned him
that I had just eaten lunch
and I couldn't be held
responsible if my tuna sandwich

landed somewhere on the upper regions
of his shirt and face.

The further away I got
the better I felt.
and just to think..

I was almost assaulted
today...and left for dead
by a pack of viscous ass lies.

Good thing I can feel them
before they settle in,and
trick the truth ...
