For No One
Broken!
The word screams through the white walls of my mind,
as I stumble through this labyrinth of my design.
Lost joy, and new despairs.
The worst part is no one cares.
It's so quiet, not a sound.
This only made the approaching footsteps more profound.
Into my world some soul has pried.
My inner sanctum- compromised!
And into my world that soul has come.
There! I see her, is she the one?
The one I've been promised my whole life,
by novels and movies and friendly advice?
She sits down before me, cross-legged on the floor.
It's a miracle she's here, that she found the door.
The long white corridors resonate with my sobs.
Tears of happiness pool at our feet.
Her eyes look at me, full of promises I know she'll keep.
There we sit, hands clasped together,
Knowing she'll make my wounds all better.
The word screams through the white walls of my mind,
