The Tale of Stockings, and Lyres, and Lemons

Once! Long ago there was an ancient battle,
A war that raged on in bloody rain.

Once! There rose such man to rend his villains;
Yet he did not see his friends for his foes.

Once! There were such vollies at his front,
And his friends did turn their backs, and fled.

Once! There lay such man seemingly dead,
But his eyes fell silent not.

Jasper Lemonte was such a name!
Jasper Lemonte no more!

Once! Such man as he did rise,
And no more did glory dot thine eyes.

Once! There rose such man like no such man.
His thoughts were filled with strings, and song.

Once! Such road did linger on,
And his feet did quickly flow....

Once! Such a man did find his way to tavern,
And the barmaid gave such linger to his well rended clothes.

Quickly she did say, "How did such a man come to be this way?"

With a quick embodied smile, a wry charm crept into his heart. "Why I'd gladly tell you how with a purchase of your beer, and a gather of your stockings. I mean no circumpence for my mind has not but heart, and mine heart needs tender warmth."

Once! Such a man did find his destiny rewown,
And with lamp light supple flesh was shown.

Once! Tender were the kisses upon her breast,
And the moving of the hips, and the night was quickly shaken.

Once! With quickly at the dawn,
He took to purchase horse, and he made so away, away.

Once! Her eyes did sadly shed when she awakened from her bed,
and empty was it then, and with it her dear lyre. "How did such a man come to be this way?" She said in last repose.
