A HOMELESS CHRISTMAS
We are just kids on the streets
Just waitng for a family to meet
To take care of us feed us
Not to let us down too just be there
To always be around when we are worrying
To listen to us instead of hurrying
past just like you do
You dont have a clue do you
Im sitting on the floor
I wont take much more
Of your space as I know you are late
To get your Christmas turkey and dates
Im sorry I annoyed you by asking for money
Ive been kicked out of my house Im all alone!
If I had a mobile too Id pick up the phone
But then I remember I have no home
Its only me
Im sorry i disturbed you
It wasnt meant to be
A happy life for me

I feel this, was nearly homeless recently myself. My landlord kicked me out. I had to move into a small room in my mother's apartment or I'd be out on the street. My cell phone got shut off too. Christmas has always been a hard time of year for me. Over the past 30 years I have only had 2 years that I could afford to buy anyone anything, the rest has felt ore like a time I wished there wasn't a Christmas. And I have seen plenty of homeless people during the holidays. It just makes it all the more difficult to see

wow, that must have been hard. But look at your poetry, i think a poem at christmas is a lovely gift. Thats what im doing this year.... personal to family. I did some charity work for the Missing Help line, it was very sad.......i think this time of year is when they get noticed more, and to think they live it every day...
