Mirrors reflection
What happens when you're looking at someone,
It feels like a mirror's reflection,
You don't find the sun,
You see your own imperfection,
Darkness of your soul,
Yet they make you feel whole,
Strange it may seem,
The fallen angel did not want to redeem,
Wallow in the darkness,
Appealed by its cold caress,
Yet the other yearned to see the light,
Trying to bring delight,
Yet it crumbled away,
Yearning slipping into oblivion everyday,
Convincing there is always hope,
While the fallen angel kept reaching for the rope,
Trying to help it find it's way from the shadow,
Though all it wanted is to wallow,
In its sticky mire,
Ashes grew cold in its heart's fire,
Slowly drifting apart,
They knew it was best they depart,
Once again rose up the wall between,
Never again would the angel be seen,
Shrouded by the veil,
Love in that instance did not prevail.
