"For The Uniform"

They say clothes make the man?
but how can a uniform make a person?
a uniform does not make anybody
it transforms and takes away your independence
just another body lost
in a sea of mundane color.

yes, some girls love a man in uniform
the way it clings to the human form
but uniforms hide a terrifying truth
we have all been conditioned since youth.

I had to wear a school uniform to school
my identity had started to be
stripped away like wallpaper
next is was secondary school, then work
but work would come much later.

Uniforms identify the wall
you cant hide behind
no name, no number
just bland colors and horrible
looking logo's.

I have no name
not even a number
i am just a uniformed servant
created by society's expectations
and evil serpents.

The die is cast
for this uniform i will die
i got target painted on my ass
make it fast
make it quick
the enemy uses bullets
and pointed sticks.

Chip the edges
the uniform falls to the floor
identity regained
i cant take this anymore.
