The Tattoo

Drag the piercing needle under my tender flesh and across my bones
The tones of the artist's magic needle, music to my ears
I have no fears sitting in his throne to create a master piece
Waiting and anticipating to see my glorious art of ink
Red for my jealousy
Of the buzzing needle that's totally mesmerizing to me
Black for my fury
Bottled in my heart and in my dreams
and hidden behind a lifeless smile
Blue for my trials by night and weary of tribulations of life
The tortured air of loneliness surrounds me and brings tears
Hidden, all hidden from the world for fears of scrutinized opinions
And oh so many shades in between
Map out and mark my journey the path of coals I have ran from
With your needle carve lines dark and deep
For pain and I are old acquainted friends
Draw the wings and etch the flames
Bring freedom from this tortured soul
Dark and bound by a chain I can't escape
For Iam smothering in my pain alone in darkness
And no chance for perpetual blissfulness
