Capitalism At Its' Best

That child there you see standing
that look and frown on his face
you are hoping the holes in the clothes
are just the style
As winter cheer grows ever near

The woman that looks sleep deprived
the composition frail like all she is
consists of bones
you are thinking she is on a diet
As winter cheer grows near

A beggar standing at the light
words like unkempt and grungy come to mind
tell yourself he is a con man
he will go home to a warm bed and meal
As winter cheer grows near

The child connected to that oxygen mask
barely holding onto life
you know she was just separated from parents
once informed they will come to her aid
As winter grows near

The village that is finding burial plots
that is just nature reminding us
and we all will have our time
no not because of the lead and other toxins in the water
As winter cheer grows near

So when you hate those facts of life called taxes
those services that only government has
the scope to provide
so convinced that privatization is the answer
As winter cheer grows near

So be safe and warm in the abode
count your toys and your new smart phone
relish in crazed consumerism
survival of the fittest
As winter cheer grows near

Now tell me will that be debit or credit?
