man, most of my friends politically are left of center so this is perfect for them! I am totally recommending this to them.
You are inspiring me to write my own reflection especially when I think about the fact that some of these people caught up in consumerism are the same ones pissed about the school needing more funds with a teacher needing a few more books that are already outdated and falling apart so that every student has his/her own or the science educator who wants a microscope that actually works.

Oh cool I will check it out. I am largely a recreational musician. Back when I started teaching I was in a band of teachers. We called ourselves the Receding Hairlines. We did largely cover music---played rock and roll for school district events. Since then I have accompanied my brother a few times at holiday events. (he has an awesome voice) Mostly I just put on some smooth jazz and play along on the bass. From time to time I take my acoustic guitar to the daycare center I am working at now and introduce the 4 and 5 year olds to music. (Pete Seeger, the Beatles, etc.)
My favorite instrument is the sax. I was a big Kenny G fan when others (like Kashif) did the producing. Now sadly most of his stuff sounds the same. Too many digital instruments as well in my view. It goes without saying that I loved Grover Washington, Dave Koz, and Boney James. I know I missed someone but that ALWAYS happens with music!
I do go back to Miles, Coltrane, and Charlie Parker but I do find times when I find myself wanting the more popish stuff. (Sade, Maxwell, etc) My favorite singer of all time was someone dad introduced me to, Nat King Cole.

Okay enough about stuff having nothing to do with your poem.
