The obligation of unhappiness

Attached to a world that I scorned from a far,
Like a view past the moon to a distant star,
Now I work for my bread and I long for my bed,
It Is not what this life is for,
Nothing more to be said as it is I am dead,
Was I wrong in wanting more?
Sun gives way to rain and snows,
Heat to sleet to hope that blows-
Away, with what we yearned for,
Alas should we have learned more?
I no longer feel the earth beneath me,
Nor do I feel her presence around,
And I no longer have to power to teach me,
My feet are firmly set to the ground-
Of modern pain, nothing more to show,
And there is not a place to store-
My hopes and dreams, they fade they go,
I follow me to the start which I finished,
I see me and I see what he wished-
For another to follow and to break from myself,
For his mind for my body for his soul and for my health,
And the circle continues with no start and so no end,
But yes it does have a big bend-
With which it drives you round and round,
Until you lose what you have found,
And you forget what you’ve yet to learn,
But do not worry for it’s almost done,
Did you not have fun?
Do you see how you burn?
You’re already gone,
You were never even here...
