Togetherness - an Acrostic
She lay beside him, pulled him close; the beat
Of his heart made her own complete.
Unclad, she sought to offer as she found:
Love, pure and unadorned - her arms thrown round.
Mistress, Muse and Madame, all she played
And wore each mask so naturally; she made
Two into one - a seamless whole, and right.
Eternity was, she knew, awake'd that night.
