Inside These Walls

  
Lights and images
rush around
days pass flashing
with a highspeed sound
in the middle
I'm staring
bolted to the ground
aware, past caring
in a state of dumbfound .

Time goes by
with it's people
and lives
I wonder sometimes
at the blunder of mine
in the rubble
I find
a burst bubble gone by
shattered by troubles
that smashed a high flight .

Do you at all
ever think of me
inside these walls
where I stare desperately
our dreams did fall
where the others had been
to the floor of no more
where I stand
in dis-belief
I once a sea shore
now just an old reef
whos skies of azure
did sure
turn storm green .
