Oh Marilyn where have you gone --
into death and out again.
Like an endless poet's song
you serve the masses to enthrong.

Her angel eyes like lover's sighs
beckon you to compromise.
Like a child in a fright
she reaches out to hold you tight.

She seeks in you a childhood friend
to stay with her past childhood's end.
Her innocence is all that's true
like sunlight on the morning dew.

As she drives along the beach...
then from the waves she thence did breach
With a smile in thin air
and finger streams of golden hair.

Her eyes reach out to hold your hand
and take you to another land.
She's a Medusa in reverse
who'd free you from a stony curse.

She weaves her body into frame --
she the huntress, you the game.
Into her love, you fall to flame
in endless surf that calls her name.

As she rests upon the sand
her body lilts in weaving strands --
Her bare wet skin and tousled hair
and smiling face as light as air

That calls to you across all time
to feed her heart with love divine.
