Imperfection

Splintering outwards
Branching fingers
Little fragile cracks
On my luminous cloud kingdom
That prides itself
In being narcissistic
Through better come worse
Through rain come shine
Majestic satin world
Evangelizing faith
In obscure tones
Whispering away the mist
So I see sin clear (crystal)
In every nook and cranny
Of every mind and innocent farce
And every spoken word or hymn hummed
They took it all away
The faces with the papery coats
Now all is disintegrating
Pure collapses comatose into drab grey
As my heaven goes up
In flames
Imperfection bonds with
The beautiful
Mass arrays of colours
Bird feathers, blood
And lamenting tears
Eventually it all comes down
To the will to survive
Learning to swim
Through mourning
And yet still being able
To see beauty in all this
Imperfection
