Don't degrade my efforts,
How small and little they be,
And how high I try
To make them what they ought to be.
Slowly, piece by piece
In overwhelming steps,
Only to be taken back,
You can do more.

Very well, you can do more!
More, more!
Better and more,
Enough is enough,
Is it not?

How much we know,
We can do more,
But above and beyond
Is so far to grasp
It builds in heavy loads
Until little is more and more
Isn't worth aiming for.
Better and more.

Better not to try at all.
