Too early to think like this

I'll take a stab at this one, Jamie. Most men of honor rely on something outside of themselves to become that honorable person. Here is an example from my Italian heritage (although many consider these types dishonerable.) The Mafia Don does not make his decisions all on his own. He has an advisor who is often called a consigliere (counselor) who advises him on many matters. However, the Don answers for himself the same way an honorable man of God answers for himself after consulting his consigliere in the sky. Just a theory. Take it or leave it.

The phrase "men of honour" is already dangerously defined in many instances by people who would not necessarily live their lives by the word of God.

Just about any religion has covered the basics of living a good, honest, pure life.

Add to the pot power and "honour," and the stew becomes bitter and of no spiritual nutrition.
