Can’t really Relate-on-ships
Small boats, nice sized yachts? Maybe.
But once I’m back on dry land??
Seriously, it’s on!!!
I’m-gonna-get-right-up-on-that-beach; Caribbean, Norwegian, NO matter
But the bored & boring can take a walk. Because I’m about that excitement
Like when one first tips or runs into that surf. That rush of the water touching the body
That tingling against one’s toes; that sensation
Just happening over and over again
At least ‘till one’s done!!
Yet, unfortunately I don’t swim too well
But I can get my stroke on and it ain’t just me saying it
But I'm personally more into Bahamas Hot Tubing than that English Channel Surfing
So I don’t go toooo far out!! I also have a severe allergy
A bad one relative to them Sharks; them Jokers
For them, one always has to be on the lookout
Moreover, I definitely wouldn’t wanna drown due to a friendly-turned-nasty-entanglement
You know, like trying to save another swimmer’s ass when neither one of us should’ve been out that deep
And how deep is DEEP???
Meanwhile back on the seaside, I’m thinking Relate-on-ships are just too difficult
Too many bells & whistles to contend wit…too many distractions
At least for me!! Them Pleasure Ships usually got too many people
Plus you’re stuck-out in the vastness of it all
And one’s immobility is a challenge…do you sea?
Sick... so if you’re not the Captain or bare minimum the First Mate
Your left “not” being able to wing it!
But man, give me a nice cottage; an isolated beach
I’m talking about one with a pristine surface
Bringing in my own Driftwood to grow, plant and go
Maybe stop, then hop and go again. Man, that’s what’s up!!!
My Grand Dad used to call that “Havin' Relations, Good Relations”
Ship to shore until there is “NO more”
Those without a motor gotta use that oar!
Row, row, row until sore; ensuring
That the water; that it ain’t on your floor
Need we say more?
