A Mistake's Cost
I made such a big mistake,
I broke your heart first,
Drove it straight through with a stake,
You wanted to love me,
But I refused,
I didn't love you then.
Now I understand what love means,
And I'm truely sorry,
But you torture me for my one mistake,
Never will I be forgivin,
Taunts, and jeers through all these years,
Unseen are my childish tears.
Why must you hate me so,
I was a child, I did not know,
I cry because when I find love,
Yours is gone,
All hope has fled my mind,
And because of you, that love;
I've lost it.
I broke your heart first,
Drove it straight through with a stake,
You wanted to love me,
But I refused,
I didn't love you then.
Now I understand what love means,
And I'm truely sorry,
But you torture me for my one mistake,
Never will I be forgivin,
Taunts, and jeers through all these years,
Unseen are my childish tears.
Why must you hate me so,
I was a child, I did not know,
I cry because when I find love,
Yours is gone,
All hope has fled my mind,
And because of you, that love;
I've lost it.
