In God We Trust Fund
Money, your prison,
Your sin and religion.
In God we trust.
Trust funds and bank runs
And power lust.
Lives devoid of social demeanor,
Masked beneath monotonous careers.
Fuel efficient hybrid Prius,
Ecosystem friendly Allah or Jesus.
Designer deity of plastic surgery,
Conglomerations commanding the clergy.
God has been bought and conveniently paid for
And divided amongst the wealthy we slave be(for)e.
Poverty is blasphemy,
Potatoes And Great Depression.
Purgatory of oppression,
Of neglecting our perspective,
The deception of perception.
The Heretic proclaims heresy,
"Burn them if they won't recant,
If they do, brand them with hypocrisy."
These are the politics of diverse perversity.
Popes, hoax and scapegoats,
And the people just eat this up.
Stabbed backs, slit throats
and some red wine in your cup.
Enough is enough,
I am not up for sale.
My freedom is not a revokable loan
up for foreclosure by your jails.
Keep your dollars
and exchange them for ¢.sense and change.
Leave me be,
I'm content being free.
Broke and bankrupt,
In squalor and poverty.
