Under Rain Clouds

I remember rain fell just like this.
She ran so far from home to be alone.
As I listened to the rain fall.
I heard her softly weeping between those four walls.
I gathered the courage to ask her why.
She was crying.

She looks so much better when she smiles.
The rain has it's way to bring people together.
It's too painful that's why it's so rare.
Now she knows I'll stop at nothing for her.
To be with her.

She looked and asked me why I was here.
I smiled and told her I won't deny.
The things she felt brought me here too.
The rain could never hide all my tears.

If the rain stops
We won't be friends but not quite like lovers either.
We'll forever exist this way.
She knows this is how it's meant to be.
My heart only whispers.
My heart can't take anymore...
