Doppelgänger
followed
by an ethereal being
who thinks it knows me
I deny
the relationship
yet it insists
it wants me
to remember
to wake up
it teaches
me soul travel
through whispers
trying to
reach that part
the part that remembers
I run through
past lives
trying to find the epoch
it pushes me
further back
in time
it tickles
my brain
with facts
navigating
the astral planes
it is my co pilot
the etheric double
invisible
yet we are connected
we will
always be
I just need to remember

through whispers" I had goosebumps when I read this line because it resonated so much. This is a beautiful piece and it describes a lot of what I have been thinking about the past while. Very nice indeed.:)

To me, the "remembering" is the "waking up," although to "wake up," as you probably know, has much to do with non-judgemental self-observation. No one can tell you (or me) how to do it. That would be programming, conditioning. Actually you are discussing, in poetical form, an ancient spiritual practice. Maybe you practiced it in another life. Wonderful poem, leads to many associations for me.
