Cupids Fool
Cruel Cupid with his arrows sharp,
Played my heartstrings like a harp.
It tickled him to see me fall
Into love's wide open jaws.
No greater torment can there be
Than to love, so desperately,
someone who will not love you back.
What could cause more pain than that?
I rue the day i first beheld
Her beauty as my spirit swelled
Within me. Turning me into
Another one of Cupids Fools!
Played my heartstrings like a harp.
It tickled him to see me fall
Into love's wide open jaws.
No greater torment can there be
Than to love, so desperately,
someone who will not love you back.
What could cause more pain than that?
I rue the day i first beheld
Her beauty as my spirit swelled
Within me. Turning me into
Another one of Cupids Fools!
