I miss the sea
but in a way I am glad he caught me
I've drowned thousands of mortal men
used their blood to fill my ink pen
but he is different then any other
he cares about those that suffer
he helps me when I fall
so I guess I have fallen in love with a human man and have turned my back to the sea's call
he is human not perfect
but the love this human has for me is worth it
worth forsaking immortality
and exchange it for mortality
those like me say I have lost my mind
yes indeed I have for a human man who is so very kind
his warmth thaws my ice
I hope this love is worth this sacrifice
I love this human
and I plan on loving him the best I can
and I ignore the sea's call
as for him I deeper and deeper in love fall
