Beginning Anew
Lightning strikes beating innocence
Solemn droplets fall from the once bright, blue sky
In the air, grief becomes the all- consuming fragrance
What was dazzling is now a dull melancholy
Clouds shed their lonely tears upon the welcoming ground
For they must to appease their sorrowful spirits
Fears, doubts, and tragedies plague their minds with a thundering sound
They drift, looking for a safe place to reveal interpersonal secrets
Misery echoes in the wind; whispering thoughts of agony
So averse to overcome hardships and sufferings,
But willing to whisper words of distress ever so quietly
Desolate souls wander, looking for peace
Leaves dance in the short, powerful, gusts of aching wind
Leaving a trail of discarded, forsaken souls
The pleasure of warm joyful daylights vanish, for grief stricken winds rescind
Uniquely, they gather and create dejection and despair
Bitter, cold replaces the warm, loving days
Ever- growing anguish continues to rise and lingers in the mists
Will sparkling blues restore the seemingly ever- present grays?
Please, I beg, let this plight pass by and begin anew
