A Punch In The Facebook
"A Punch In The Facebook" By Marcus Cooke
Facebook
how you annoy me so
How you crashed in to our lives
I will never know?
Where information
is power
and ridicule is a law
Where self esteem is peeled away
with rusted metal claws
A cruel playground
the bell never rung once.
A social battlefield where your ideas,
beliefs, hope and dreams
are forever lost.
Check my status
what’s on your mind?
The usual what's for tea
And genocide”
Your fave quotes composed
of 4 letters swear words
and sexual innuendo
You spend your time
monopolizing Facebook
and playing Nintendo.
12 of your friends read an article
That would imply they could read
Somebody tagged you in a photo
That has nothing to do with me
Are you playing
some sort of twisted game?
I’m sure buzz- shite year
is not your real name.
Submerged in self-doubt,
Somebody’s spotted a spelling mistake
They just had to point out
1000 friends
and your still alone
And you’re sexually frustrated
Because you haven’t been blown
From this digital nightmare
will we ever be free.
when you have facebook
who needs reality.
Note - A very old poem that i never used.
