Emotionally Broken
The day as dark as hell;
Closed as an open clam shell.
Asleep but awful awake;
Bought but stolen to take.
Lying but it's stating a fact;
Proact instead of react.
Speaking but no words;
Moving away but walking towards.
Premature ejaculation; incomplete thought;
Losing a war that was never fought.
Standing but bowing down;
Standing on your head to make a frown.
A tattoo without history;
Loving you without me.
Living life without a cause;
What do you think of when your thoughts pause.

Best line in the poem in my opinion.. I completely agree whith this statement hun. Though if I were honest I would admit to not understanding what you mean by proact.. care to explain?

This is a line I wish I had come up with myself, although my thoughts never have to time to pause.. always a never ending question in there. I like how you made me think in this one.

Proact To take action in advance of an expected event. Instead of reacting when it happens. My thoughts pause because Im so proactive it sucks. It's a sickness by far. I leaves little to no room to be spontaneous. I wish I could just flow as blood pours out of a fresh cut.

Deep, sad, nice. I like this right here. Felt loneliness from deep inside in my fav. lines,
