It creeps into my dreams
slivers of fear
sneaking
forming tears
upon my naked face
open wide
for all to see
what lay inside
my crumbling soul

It whispers into my ear
shivers that clear
the warmth
from my eyes
and all I hold dear
saying goodbye
to the love
as it swiftly flies
I know I have seen
to my own demise

It holds me tenderly
deceptively lovely
making
my heart race
in this embrace
where memories
cant ever be erased

it releases me
and I am falling
calling out
its name
so frantically
panicking
loosing grip
of reality

it leaves me
weeping
fumbling
trying to grasp
the entirety
of this unfathomable
concept

I loved it
to the point of death
the death of my sanity
unleashing
a lake of chaos
frozen by
a new certainty
leaving me numb
for an eternity
