Divine Incarnation
- Divine Incarnation -
In the silence of the still earth, here in the night’s high hour,
My form awaits the embrace of the grandest transformation.
Come, sublime and everlasting one, in all glory and power!
I await thy caresses, with the most ideal joy and jubilation.
My soul is dead without the fire that made it first glorious!
And so wilt thou not command me to live again as of old?
The dead surround me, and they grow more clamorous.
My world awaits resurrection, with a truth eternally bold!
No grave can keep me, nor can tomb hold me, for I live…
I am called from earthen bed: by a goddess without peer.
My soul rises, imbued with the flames that she doth give…
Like the morning star, I am reborn in dawn, without fear.
I stand taller than before, and my limbs flow with vitality!
Not stiff from death, but graceful in their every movement.
I walk in the presence of she who saved me from eternity,
Even as my former life knows a kind of dismemberment…
For I am the goddess now and the worshipper no longer!
When her lips met mine and filled me with her own breath,
My old breath ceased, and my blood flowed the stronger.
There is no greater triumph, than such victory over death!
No sooner am I arisen from the ashes of my former state,
Then I am bowed to my knees, by the power within me…
Only to stand once more: having conquered a darker fate.
I cannot describe, even to my own mind, this new reality!
My body is the chalice, the grail that I have ever sought…
I have become the maiden and the chalice, all in one flesh.
My blood is sanctified by divine will, and sacred thought!
It flows as if for the first time, nectar so sweet and fresh…
And I am pleased by the warmth of it all, within my veins.
She is within me and we are one; this is the highest honor,
For it frees me of the shell I once was, and all past pains!
To taste of Heaven, my lips had first to savor true horror,
And I overcame the tribulations set before me in whole…
The terrors of Hell, the emptiness of the realms between!
I wept for who I once was, and for the falling of my soul.
Then she dried my tears, and I learned what all did mean,
The strife, the burdens, the obligations that did oft bind…
But when all was through, mine eyes had seen so clearly!
Not just the eyes of my flesh, but the eye within my mind.
For the knowledge granted unto me, I paid, most dearly!
My hand is thy hand, incarnate and divine, yet so mortal,
And though thou dost fill me like ambrosia fills the gods…
Still time passes, and life itself passes, beyond its’ portal.
I live, but one day shall die despite the grandest of odds!
In accepting my doom, I also accept what shall endure…
The part of me that has ever been immortal and undying!
She made me great, and I am she, so mighty and so sure.
Made far greater once my old fear ceased bitter crying…
I feel the life force of the universe, so ebbing and flowing,
Within my bosom, until it beats with my heart in harmony.
Thus was my moment of Gnosis, my spirit thus growing…
Beyond the confines of perception: into a new symmetry.
I had many such moments, but this one that I tell hereof,
Was not brought on by seeking to learn a grand secret…
Rather it came unto me because my will had sought love.
And so the very source of all life and all love, I had met!
But to describe it would be to lessen the fullest grandeur,
Which comes only when you see such a vision revealed.
I come to tell only truth, not to make light or to pander…
So heed well what I have said, let wisdom be thy shield!
