Dreaming

You stared at me with those eyes
(ember, brown and longing)
I was taken in and instantly paralysed
Captivated, heavily sedated and intoxicated by you

Burning..
As the flame you lit,
How do I out this shit?

Finding myself in your every touch and embrace
You gave me more reason to have life
You are all I felt

For when we kissed,
(and more than kissed)
I thought,
"I just might go to Hell for loving you."
For who can be trusted when sin and salvation collides?

Dreaming..
I was dreaming
Dreaming.. of you and of us,
We were joyful and vivacious-- with passion!

Dreaming..
I lit my cigarette,
..to fill my lungs.
Finishing the pack
..just to get lost and numb

I woke up and realised,
"Why couldn't we be as in my dream?"
I wondered,
"Are you 'only for a time' in my life?"

Erudite..
You couldn't erase everything that caused you pain
..with its recollection.
But how frightful to be so apodictically bound to someone
..and have no real will of your own.
